Evans was rather slim. His fitted black suit hung neatly on his lean frame, and his polished leather shoes gleamed. A knowing smile played on his lips, while an eerie glint flickered in his eyes, making the awakened legislators' expressions turn extremely ugly.
Some of the awakened legislators were even worried and afraid.
They could almost guess that Evans was the one benefiting behind the manipulation of Congress members.
Yet they had no idea why Evans had done this. Until recently, they themselves had been among those under control.
Evans walked to the podium, resting both hands on its sides. He swept his gaze over the legislators with unusual expressions and immediately knew that He-El's attack this time had freed some of the mind-controlled legislators.
The game is about to begin, He-El.
Evans smiled to himself.
It was merely a game to toy with humanity. Loki did not believe that freeing some legislators from Mind Control meant he would lose.
Before the true battle arrived, playing around with He-El and all humanity and watching them panic was truly quite entertaining.
"Good afternoon, everyone. I'm sure you all know me well..." Evans gave a brief speech with a smile, sounding as though he were chatting with old acquaintances. He did not place much emphasis on his presidential campaign speech, nor did he say much about his political policies.
Still, when he finished, he received enthusiastic applause.
After delivering his short speech, which had little practical substance, Evans moved to the side and yielded the podium to the Senate President.
The Senate President tapped his small gavel, quieting the applause in the chamber. Once silence fell, he looked around before solemnly saying:
"Now, let us invite He-El, the presidential candidate nominated by the Civilization Party, to come forward and state his intention
