Capitol Building Plaza was packed shoulder to shoulder. Beneath the blazing sun, even the people holding little He-El flags felt their tempers heating up.
It was not impatience. The electors' repeated reversals in recent days had made them feel that something was deeply wrong, and they were terribly worried that He-El might fail to win the presidency.
The dense sea of people kept waving flags bearing He-El's portrait, while the low hum of countless discussions never ceased.
They were all discussing the electors' fickleness and the abnormalities surrounding this presidential election.
Though the buzzing was soft, gathered among the vast crowd, it formed a roar of debate like a tsunami.
"What's that?"
Suddenly, someone in the crowd looked up at the sky, where the scorching heat warped the air, and saw a small Manta Ray spacecraft flying in from afar. Its sleek black armor displayed technology that belonged to the future.
One by one, everyone in the crowd raised their heads and watched the Manta Ray spacecraft fly directly above them.
He-El appeared within the spacecraft's tractor beam, slowly descending from the sky under its pull.
"Mr. He-El!!!"
The crowd immediately erupted in cries of surprise, gazing up at He-El with adoration as he descended like a god.
He-El stepped onto the ground and smiled in acknowledgment. The crowd automatically parted, opening a broad path leading to the entrance of the Capitol Building.
"Go, Mr. He-El!"
"My whole family supports you, Mr. He-El!"
"You have to become president! I support you, Mr. He-El!"
"Those damned, flip-flopping politicians! If Mr. He-El doesn't become president, I won't let them off!"
Worried voices rose and fell through the crowd.
They could not help but worry. Just the night before, dozens of electors who had publicly supported He-El had suddenly begun loudly opposing him.
