Nick Fury emerged from the S.H.I.E.L.D. director's office with a dark expression. He had never imagined that Kamar-Taj would bring this kind of trouble to S.H.I.E.L.D. and He-El.
Especially since Kaecilius had not gone after the Ancient One or Stephen Strange, but had instead turned his sights on He-El. That left Nick Fury even more shocked and furious.
"Director, the Kamar-Taj sorcerers have assembled." Dressed in a sharp, professional pantsuit, Hill strode up to Nick Fury and reported as she followed behind him.
Nick Fury nodded. When he reached the elevator and saw that it was still on the first floor, his face darkened. Without waiting, he shoved open the stairwell door nearby and took the stairs three at a time. He and Hill hurried down to the first floor, then crossed a spacious training ground toward the eleven gathered Kamar-Taj sorcerers.
Kamar-Taj did not have many people to begin with. Only eleven had been sent to support S.H.I.E.L.D., including Baron Mordo, the Ancient One's senior disciple, who led the group.
Baron Mordo had dark skin, thick brows, and large eyes. Like the other Kamar-Taj sorcerers, he wore similar robes, yet he possessed a distinctly refined bearing. Before becoming the Ancient One's disciple, he had been a nobleman in South Africa, which was why he was called Baron Mordo.
Upon seeing Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Baron Mordo offered a courteous smile. However, he was met with Fury's cold, grim expression and an impolite rebuke. "You people from Kamar-Taj really know how to cause me trouble."
Baron Mordo froze, unable to make sense of it.
The main thing he had done since leading his team here to cooperate with S.H.I.E.L.D. was open portals with the other sorcerers, transporting S.H.I.E.L.D. agents around the world to assist in handling strange incidents.
