History

Heavenly Soul Hall and Wind Moon Sect maintained longstanding friction, with both sides having previously killed members of the other sect and seized cultivation methods from one another. 116 The Hall's confidence in this rivalry rested on Golden Silkworm, while the Wind Moon Sect relied on the uncertain deterrence of its own Grand Elder, True Sword Master Xuanjian. 93

The Hall escalated its activity at the Western Spirit Stone Mine, using repeated clashes to probe Wind Moon Sect's true strength and determine whether True Sword Master Xuanjian remained capable of intervening. Lin Sha, a newly promoted Foundation Establishment elder, led part of this pressure campaign. 85 91 Qi Chuan's arrival reversed the confrontation when he instantly killed Lin Sha, causing panic among the Hall's disciples. 92 93

When a secret realm opened at the mine battlefield, Heavenly Soul Hall and Wind Moon Sect entered together. Tian Hunzi temporarily agreed to cooperate with Situ Jiang in exploring Giant Mountain, though the two sects' disciples soon turned on one another while climbing its Spirit Sealing and Profound Weight formations. 94 95 The Hall's Core Formation Grand Elder did not enter the secret realm, apparently having been barred outside. 94

After Qi Chuan faked his death, Heavenly Soul Hall dispatched spies to search for evidence that he was alive. Qin Bei was sent to monitor Red Maple Valley for Qi Chuan's trail, but Qi Chuan killed him instead. 112 118 The Hall did not know Qin Bei was also a hidden agent planted by North Magnetic Mountain. 112 114

Unable to identify Qin Bei's killer, Tian Hunzi formally blamed Wind Moon Sect. Golden Silkworm endorsed this conclusion without much concern for Qin Bei himself, focusing instead on Qi Chuan's suspected secret-realm opportunity and the eventual seizure of Wind Moon Sect's resources. 114

The deaths of Jia Feng and Jia Qi intensified the sect's unrest. Tian Hunzi responded by sending Luo Jin Shen to infiltrate Wind Moon Sect, identify the killer, and capture Qi Chuan if possible. 125 126 Heavenly Soul Hall also coerced Qi Shang into assisting its intelligence efforts by exploiting his son Qi Feng's membership in the sect. 127 128

Before the Langya Spirit Realm opened, the Hall prepared to target Qi Chuan and seize Heavenly Gang Qi. Golden Silkworm ordered Tian Hunzi to prioritize the Heavenly Gang Qi above all else and promised an item that could aid Core Formation in return. 136 142 The expedition ended disastrously: the Hall lost one Foundation Establishment Late Stage elder and three Middle Stage elders, while Situ Jiang secured the Heavenly Gang Qi for Wind Moon Sect. 168 169
