Li Huowang's headache had eased slightly, but as he stared wide-eyed at the scene within the Spinning Light Mirror, he nearly thought he had seen wrong.
The enormous red dot representing the military formation had been forcibly torn apart, a huge chunk ripped away by something.
"That's impossible! How could this... happen?! I clearly interrupted the god-sacrificing ritual!" Li Huowang looked up at the Divine Statue overhead, where there was plainly no movement at all, then swept his gaze over the Chicken-Foot People lying every which way in pools of blood.
His expression turned exceedingly grim. Li Huowang immediately reached a finger into the Spinning Light Mirror, toward a small red dot beside the battlefield, wanting to find out what exactly was happening over there.
In an instant, his perspective shifted. Li Huowang found himself seated atop a warhorse, galloping into the distance.
When he turned to look at the battlefield, he witnessed an utterly shocking sight. The military's enormous formation was fighting a mass of something invisible.
Though it could not be seen, every movement it made visibly warped the surrounding space, causing everything around it to cave in out of thin air.
Through the rough outline of that distorted time and space, Li Huowang could barely make out that it had four legs. It seemed enormous and flat, with all manner of long, strip-like things visibly growing around its body.
Yet beyond that, Li Huowang could not discern any further details of the thing.
"What is that? What the hell is that?!" Li Huowang nearly ground his teeth to dust. Whatever it was, the Dharma Sect's vile scheme had clearly still succeeded. They must have made preparations on two fronts.
Even if they had stopped things here, the Dharma Sect's god-sacrificing rituals elsewhere had still succeeded.
There had
