Fang Ling built his strength in Notting City, discovered that killing advanced his Progress Bar, and earned his first Soul Ring. After reaching Level Twelve, he chose War King Academy and left Notting Academy while Tang San and Xiao Wu stayed behind.

• Fang Ling awakened a sickle Martial Soul with Level One Innate Soul Power, enrolled at Notting Academy, and found work slaughtering pigs to support himself.
• After killing an intruder and later a rat, Fang Ling learned that killing increased his Progress Bar, then killed a Fallen Spirit Master and spent the point he earned to raise his Soul Power.
• Fang Ling befriended Wang Sheng, Tang San, and Xiao Wu while studying, working at the slaughterhouse, and developing his Scythe and Movement Techniques.
• Fang Ling reached Level Ten, applied for early graduation, and joined the academy’s Soul Ring expedition, where he killed a 110-year-old Star-nosed Mole and absorbed its ring.
• Fang Ling gained the Star Mole Transformation skill, improved Reflex and Digestion talents, and used two points to reach Level Twelve while investigating his newly revealed Special Talent.
• The dean recommended War King Academy in Icefront City, and Fang Ling told Tang San and Xiao Wu he planned to leave Notting Academy.

Fang Ling joined War King Academy, sharpened his combat skills, and grew stronger through training and deadly Soul Arena fights. After reaching Level 20, he joined the academy’s soul hunt and began searching the Star Dou Great Forest for a suitable Soul Beast.

• Fang Ling left Grandpa Liu and the others for Silves Kingdom, then used his Demon Hunting Camp certificate to gain admission to War King Academy in Icefront City.
• Director Ou tested Fang Ling, and Lin Tianyang accepted him as a disciple while Shu Manyun became his Shimu.
• Fang Ling trained at the academy, won his first Soul Arena match, and persuaded Lin Tianyang and Shu Manyun to support his Life and Death Battles.
• Fang Ling won thirteen Life and Death Battles, killed Xu Chi, and survived An Yufei’s attack, after which Lin Yuehua secured the Frost Snow Ring as compensation.

Fang Ling survived the Star Dou Great Forest, gained a powerful soul skill and an External Soul Bone, and earned a place at Heaven Dou Royal Academy through his endurance and combat record. After joining the reserve team and winning Yu Tianheng’s respect, he agreed to help Ye Lingling, whose grief had resisted the teachers’ efforts.

• Fang Ling absorbed a Spiked Blood Dragonfly’s Soul Ring, gaining Cursed Blade, Weakness Detection, and Drain, then evolved his scythe before a Beast Tide forced the hunting party to flee.
• Separated from the group, Fang Ling survived the forest, killed a One-Eyed Giant Horn Antelope, and absorbed its right foot Soul Bone, which granted Explosion Body Talent and strengthened his will.
• A Giant Multi-Legged Sky Dragon nearly killed Fang Ling, but Old Li rescued him and brought him to Zhu Zhuqing’s group, where Fang Ling and Zhu Zhuqing sensed a possible connection between their Martial Souls.
• Fang Ling reunited with Lin Tianyang and the dean, trained with his evolved scythe, and traveled with Lin Yuehua to seek admission to Heaven Dou Royal Academy.
• Fang Ling endured Bai Baoshan’s Soul Power pressure, qualified for the academy, and joined its Battle Team Reserve under Qin Ming.

Fang Ling grew closer to Ye Lingling, then joined Dugu Bo in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where he gained powerful resistances and began treating Dugu Bo’s poison. After reaching Level 30, Fang Ling obtained a Silver Emperor Falcon spirit ring and a short-range teleportation skill.

• Fang Ling comforted Ye Lingling, and the two spent three months together while he advanced in the Great Soul Arena and reached level twenty-six.
• Dugu Bo investigated Fang Ling and found that he was not a Fallen Spirit Master, while Fang Ling later warned Dugu Yan that she might be poisoned.
• Dugu Bo brought Fang Ling to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where Fang Ling ate the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and Infernal Delicate Apricot and survived the springs.
• Fang Ling gained Ice Fire Immunity and resistance to all poisons, then demonstrated that the Aromatic Silk Beauty’s pollen could slow poison and proposed storing Dugu Bo’s toxins in Spirit Bones.

• Dugu Bo began a daily detoxification routine using Fang Ling’s blood and a Devouring Vine Left Arm Bone, and three months later Fang Ling reached Level 30.
• Fang Ling and Dugu Bo hunted a Silver Emperor Falcon, and Fang Ling absorbed its 4,396-year Soul Ring to reach Level 31 and gain Spatial Perception Lv3.
• Fang Ling demonstrated Silver Emperor Flash, which teleported him five to ten meters, and Dugu Bo recognized its potential for consecutive attacks from changing positions.
