The demon immediately understood. He was a Changer of the Fallen Path; his specialties were curses and beast-taming, and he did not need to fight in close quarters. This spell was not particularly useful against him. The latter spell, however—the one capable of forcibly altering another's religious inclinations—made him even more uneasy.
Tilroggzak could feel his craving for light steadily growing stronger. He did not know whether Craving Light could be dispelled as a curse, but one thing was clear to him: most sustained spells could be undone by killing the caster.
Though he did not know why Li Wen had survived that kind of damage, the demon knew far more than one curse of that caliber.
