Just as the spear was about to stab Li Wen, she hurriedly summoned The Final Codex and began casting continuously.
The chains did not hinder her casting. Several apparitions appeared above her head in succession: first, a brightly dressed traveler; then, a tower struck by lightning; and finally, the ability Li Wen wanted—a white-robed angel holding a golden cup in each hand.

This ability could remove all positive and negative effects. The chains' restraint was a spell effect, so it naturally fell within its scope.
Not only that, but the effects granted by Poem of Paradise—Fool's Praise and Tower's Collapse—also vanished. Even the levitation effect brought by the Emerald Star Cloak was cleansed away.
According to the ability description, Poem of Paradise could not target its caster. But descriptions were only descriptions. This was the real world, after all; who a spell affected was still decided by its caster.

The chains of nothingness abruptly shattered beneath the power of Temperance. Li Wen steadied herself in midair and landed safely in Witch State.
The demon Tilroggzak was also within Temperance's range, and the Magic Shield on his body was cleansed away as well.
His face turned cold and stiff, his mood exceptionally foul. A move he had been certain would succeed had been so easily neutralized.
The demon chanted an incantation, intending to call the Spear of Death Curse
