The battleship Nagato was the first powerful Capital Ship built by the Island Nation Navy after the last World War, its main guns boasting a caliber of 410mm. When completed, it displaced more than 33,000 tons. Three years earlier, however, the battleship had undergone extensive modifications. Not only had it been fitted with a large number of anti-aircraft weapons, but its armor had also been further reinforced, sending its displacement soaring to more than 43,000 tons.
Its formidable defenses, combined with its powerful main guns, made the battleship Nagato one of the first-rate Capital Ships of the age.
But now, Captain Tokunaga Sakae, Nagato's captain, was on the verge of going mad.
Shell after shell crashed down around Nagato. Towering columns of water erupted from the sea, nearly drenching the entire warship. Although its defenses had been greatly strengthened through refitting, being hit by these large-caliber main-gun shells would still inflict severe damage—or even sink it. Worse still, the enemy had launched an attack, yet they did not even know where the enemy was. The feeling was driving him insane.
"Damn it! Where are the Germans hiding? Where the hell are they?" Captain Tokunaga Sakae cursed.
Captain Tokunaga Sakae could only blame his rotten luck. Their position was at the very front of the fleet, making them the first target of the German Navy Pacific Fleet's battleship formation. Five Kaiser-class battleships and three Derfflinger-class Battlecruisers were all concentrating their fire on them. Every salvo sent as many as seventy-two one-ton Armor-piercing Shells raining down. Such firepower was undoubtedly ferocious.
