After the Battle of the Azores, the American Navy had been dealt a devastating blow. Even though America's major shipyards were working overtime to build warships, warships naturally took a long time to construct. Just then, another aide officer entered. "Report, General. The White House called and asked you to go over at once."
"Alright, I understand. Notify the generals and have them wait for me in the conference room. We will convene an emergency meeting as soon as I return from the White House." Admiral Harold Stark rose to his feet and gave the order.
