We Shall Meet Again!!

As time passed, the atmosphere in Konoha—or rather, the entire Ninja World—gradually grew tense.

Nearly everyone now knew that the Five Great Ninja Villages were about to form a joint force and wage war against some faction. Within the villages directly involved, the mood was even more stifling.

The day after Asuka had just returned.

The village publicly announced everything discussed at the Five Kage Summit, though it concealed certain details regarding the enemy's strength.

After all, an organization possessing seven tailed beasts, the Sage's Eye, and more than a dozen powerful rogue ninja was simply too terrifying. It could easily cause unrest among the villagers.

Asuka moved through the bustling streets, his gaze casually sweeping over clansmen whose faces were filled with worry and panic.

Their eyes revealed unease and fear for the future, and even the air around them seemed thick with oppression.

"Hey, is this the last Clan Meeting?" Thinking of the sudden notice he had received, he turned and headed toward Nanhe Shrine.

Although today was not supposed to be a day for a Clan Meeting, the Great Elder had apparently lost his mind. Early that morning, he had personally knocked on Asuka's door and told him there would be a meeting shortly.

What could they possibly discuss at this meeting? They can't be discussing whether we can produce a Hokage again, can they? Asuka muttered to himself. Then again, who knows? Those guys might actually bring it up.

"What are you muttering about?" Ryoichi caught up from behind, his voice carrying a hint of curiosity.

Asuka glanced at the azure sky and answered.

"I was just curious what they would discuss at this Clan Meeting."
