Lin Hao was a corporate worker in his previous life whose hobby was reading novels. After dying from staying up late, he transmigrated to the Douluo Continent and became a beggar. He survived through cleverness, awakened the Mo Dao Martial Soul with Spirit Hall's help, and received only innate level 1 Soul Power. 1

Refusing to accept a future capped at Great Spirit Master, he cultivated for five years, hunted Soul Beasts for combat experience, and saved money to buy an official Spirit Hall membership slot. Repeatedly being robbed in the Soul Hunting Forest hardened his belief that weakness invited exploitation. 1

At age twelve, the Strongest Henchman Summoning System bound to him and granted eight red-quality ordinary henchmen. This gave him the means to build an independent power base rather than depend on Spirit Hall or Tang San. 1 2
