Background and History

Tang Hao emerged from hiding to confront Dugu Bo after Tang San's Twin Martial Souls risked being exposed. Identifying Tang San as his son and “hope for revenge,” he demanded secrecy, then fought Dugu Bo with the Clear Sky Hammer, Divine Slaughter's Domain, and Exploding Ring before withdrawing to avoid worsening his hidden injuries. At the time, Tang Hao had only recently reached Rank 94, while Dugu Bo was Rank 95. 18

After Tang San was defeated by Dugu Chen during the Soul Master Tournament, Tang Hao attacked Dugu Chen directly, disregarding the tournament's rules to protect his son and the Clear Sky Sect's future. Dugu Bo intervened, while Spirit Hall summoned reinforcements. Tang Hao responded by deploying his Clear Sky True Body against the Pope's Palace, prompting Qian Daoliu to appear and demand that Tang Hao and Tang San remain in Spirit Hall for a century. 100 102

Refusing imprisonment, Tang Hao detonated his first eight Soul Rings and used the Great Sumeru Hammer to strike the Six-winged Angel statue. He escaped with the unconscious Tang San, but the backlash left him near death. Spirit Hall subsequently besieged the Clear Sky Sect and demanded Tang Hao's surrender over his attack on the Angel statue.
