Gildarts led Ye Yang, San Mao, and Er Gou to the front of the town.

"Ding! Ding! Ding!..."

Having just quit their bandit ways, San Mao and Er Gou instantly reacted when they heard the alarm bells. They quickly moved behind Ye Yang.

San Mao said anxiously, "Boss, Boss, did this Uncle trick us? He isn't taking us to his turf to kill us, is he?!"

"Look, even the alarm bells up there are ringing. It's obvious this guy sent word to the people inside."

"We should leave, Boss!"

Er Gou said, "Me too!"

Watching the two of them act like a pair of clowns, Ye Yang was somewhat speechless =_=.

Suddenly, the ground began to shake violently, as if ten thousand horses were galloping by.

Hearing the commotion, San Mao and Er Gou immediately understood that the other side's people had come out. They quickly moved from behind Ye Yang to stand in front of him, shielding him.

San Mao dropped his cowardly act and said proudly, "Don't be scared, Boss. Sounds like there are probably over a thousand of them."

"As long as Er Gou and I are here, even if a thousand come, a thousand will go down!"

"You keep this Uncle tied up. Leave the rest to us!"

Er Gou said, "Me too!"

"Hahahaha!"

How could Gildarts not notice their movements? He truly could not hold it in any longer and burst out laughing.

Seeing him laugh, San Mao hurriedly said, "You old Uncle, you've finally shown your true colors, haven't you? Only our Boss is still young enough to be brainwashed by the pie you painted."

"Luckily I'm here. I saw through your scheme long ago. Go on, how many people do you have? I, San Mao, will take them all on myself!"

Er Gou recalled what had happened last night.

"Cat, didn't you beg the Boss yesterday?"

Ye Yang's face was already covered in black lines.

Er Mao said, "Huh?"

As the town rose up, a road leading to Fairy Tail appeared before the three of them.

Ye Yang followed behind Gildarts as they slowly walked forward.

Er Gou curiously looked around. He had never seen such a spectacle before and found it fascinating. Of course, his right hand was dragging a half-dead San Mao along as he walked forward.

Before long, the four of them arrived at Fairy Tail's entrance.

Before the three could even stop and take a proper look around, Gildarts headed straight ahead.

"Bzz~"

The guild's front doors instantly broke apart into little pieces of wood.

Lively voices immediately drifted out from inside.

Macao raised his wine glass and shouted, "You're back, Gildarts! Come on, have a drink!"

"Hahaha, later, later. Is the Guild Master here?"

"Gildarts, fight me!!"

A pink-haired boy ran excitedly toward Gildarts.

Bang!

The boy was casually slammed straight into the ground.

"Wait a moment, Natsu. I've got something to do."

With that, he walked toward the bar.

Makarov, who was at the bar, stared at Gildarts with a face full of black lines when he saw that the front doors had been destroyed.

"How many times have I told you?! Can't you open the door properly?!"

"You break the front doors every single time! Do you know how much that costs?!"

"Hahaha, sorry, sorry. I definitely will next time."

"I dug up a promising new talent for you~"

Upon hearing there was a newcomer, Makarov looked toward the three young people standing at the entrance.

Gildarts immediately called out, "You three, come in."

The three slowly walked forward.

At that moment, the previously lively guild suddenly fell silent. San Mao and Er Gou suddenly felt countless people sizing them up.

Then whispers began to rise.

"Which one of those three do you think is Gildarts's illegitimate son?"

"I disagree. Why can't all three be?"

"You make a lot of sense."

"But I think the one in the middle is the most likely. He looks like quite the ladies' man."

"Tsk tsk tsk, how can you say that about a young man like him? You're just jealous of him."

"What did you say?! I'm jealous of him?!"

"You looking for a fight?!"

"Fine, let's fight! You think I'm scared of you?!"

The two immediately started fighting, and the quiet guild instantly turned into a massive brawl.

San Mao and Er Gou were completely stunned.

Suddenly, a human projectile flew toward the three of them.

San Mao and Er Gou immediately noticed it. Er Gou leaped up and kicked, sending the person flying back at once.

Then San Mao and Er Gou joined the fight as well.

At the bar, Ye Yang and Makarov—one young, one old—both had faces full of black lines. Makarov was upset because of the guild members, while Ye Yang was upset because he had been called Gildarts's illegitimate son.

Meanwhile, Gildarts laughed heartlessly.

Makarov lifted his gloomy head, and his expression instantly turned into a smile.

"Hahaha, they're not usually like this. It must be your arrival that has livened them up."

"Ahem."

"Young man, what's your name?"

"Old Man, just call me Ye Yang."

"Hehe, welcome to Fairy Tail, little Ye Yang."

Makarov stood up and was just about to pat Ye Yang on the shoulder when an egg smashed directly onto his head. Egg yolk and shell slowly ran down Makarov's smiling face.

(furious glare)

"Can't you little bastards let this old man have some peace and quiet?!"

As he spoke, Makarov's body gradually became enormous.

With a single swing of his palm, he swept all the people fighting away.

Then he turned back into a kind old Grandpa.

"Little Ye Yang, what color guild mark do you want, and where do you want it?"

"G-gold is fine. Put it on the back of my right hand."

"Er Gou! San Mao!"

"We're here, Boss!"

"Get over here and have your guild marks done."

"Okay, Boss. Yes, Boss."

After the three had their marks done, Ye Yang followed Makarov into the inner hall.

No one knew what the two talked about inside.

When Ye Yang came out, he saw that San Mao and Er Gou had already gotten along with the guild members and were bragging about how incredible their Boss was.

The people around them were left utterly dumbfounded.

At that moment, the unconvinced Natsu saw Ye Yang emerge and immediately rushed forward, shouting,

"I heard you're strong. I don't believe it. Come fight me!!"
