Back in the Mortal Realm, Lu Xing still felt that it was all somewhat unreal, as though he had just awakened from a dream—half real, half illusion. Only after he slowly walked out of the church did he finally steady himself.
Although he had been unconscious most of the time, he remembered everything clearly from the moments when he was awake.
For example, strolling and chatting with Heli amid different garden landscapes, speaking with Raiphel about her life before death, and learning of the immoral things Ina had done when she was the Goddess of Fate.
Of course, what Lu Xing remembered most clearly was the desensitization training he had undergone with them.
Heli often stripped without warning, smiling seductively as she knocked him unconscious. There was Raiphel's tall, slender elven body; Lu Xing embracing them; three bodies entwined, then four. Especially after Ina arrived, Lu Xing experienced an emperor's happiness during the remaining five years.
Back at the castle, he saw familiar faces.

"Yes."

By nighttime, Anne's Parents and most of the people in the castle had gone to sleep. Only then did Lu Xing open his door, follow the carpeted hallway, and arrive outside Anne's room.
He had barely knocked once before the door silently opened, revealing the maid's exquisite but cold face.
