Background

Lu Xing is a twenty-year-old junior in Hai City University's computer science program. His parents died early, he has few relatives, and he relies on loans to remain in university; two thousand yuan represents roughly two months of food expenses for him. His nickname, Sixth Brother, comes from the similarity between the southern pronunciation of “Lu” and “six.” 2

His life changes after a soul exchange with Jiang Xuannv, a sixteen-year-old member of a future human resistance movement. Initially treated as possibly schizophrenic after damaging a phone, Lu Xing becomes convinced that he has genuinely exchanged souls rather than experienced a delusion. He subsequently discovers the Life Experience Game mini-program, which he believes is connected to the exchanges. 2

The game expands his exchanges beyond Jiang Xuannv to Anne Weisz Swinton, Xiao Yu, and the nameless Cold Ice Fairy later called Qing Yue.
