Polished It Up a Bit, and a Chat with Everyone (Very Important)

Starting with the chapter "Final Battlefield: Origin Star," I added some words to every subsequent chapter. It's all free—just refresh to see them.

This was roughly the final result of the Fate Volume. It didn't achieve the dramatic effect I'd envisioned, but I still managed to finish it smoothly.

I also saw everyone's feedback. One reader put it very well: Fat Fish was indeed influenced by some impatient readers and sped up parts of the Fate storyline in an attempt to give everyone a more satisfying reading experience.

How should I put it? It had both good and bad sides. The buildup for those related plotlines really was a little frustrating.

This was also my first attempt at a long-form approach. My original idea was to use the Goddess of Fate as the main thread, filling in some of the loose ends from the previous volumes while developing a large number of side quests. That would have fully showcased the vast wonder of Boundless Mystery before returning to Origin Star for the conclusion.

When I played it out in my head, it felt pretty satisfying, and the dramatic tension was especially good.

But my skills were still immature, and I place a lot of importance on reader feedback. You can tell from how often I ask for chapter comments. After adjusting the detailed outline for the Fate Volume several times, this was the final result.

Those of you who have been following Salted Fish Guard have probably seen it already. Fat Fish cut a great many side quests, and there are still plenty that haven't been moved over.

Those were all my mistakes, leaving quite a few regrets for both everyone and myself. Let me perform a tactical roll, followed by a few bangs against the ground.
