Tang Qi was not incapable of discerning information related to that "It"; he had simply refused to pry.
Tang Qi was extraordinarily curious, desperately wanting to know.
What kind of existence could make the Comical Starfish retreat into itself?
Another Supreme Divinity?
Tang Qi could speculate, but he could not peer into it.
He could only listen, and within those flickering fragments of the future, he had heard a vague, faint cry.
It might even have been an illusion. Nothing was impossible in the Boundless Mystery.
Even the Master of Dreams could mishear certain sounds. That was normal.
But Tang Qi was certain he had heard that cry, because of the "passion" contained in that voice.
It was difficult to describe, but Tang Qi knew that it was a passion no concept or Authority Power could restrain or erase.
It was as though it had erupted from the depths of a Great Being's soul, eternally existing and never ceasing.
Combined with the fact that the cry had only sounded when the figures of the Starfish and Clevord overlapped, Tang Qi's Omniscience had analyzed an unbelievable answer—a possibility.
That Mysterious Ancient God believed to have fallen in the "War of Annihilation," the shared good friend of the Starfish and the octopus.
Perhaps that being had not fallen at all, but had instead entered some kind of Abnormal State.
That state prevented it from returning to the Boundless Mystery, from interfering with the Real World, or even from letting the Starfish and Clevord learn of its condition by any means.
The only "accident" had just occurred.
Tang Qi had attempted to break through the Wall of Reality and thus glimpsed the future. When the Starfish and Clevord's figures overlapped, he heard its cry through that narrow, fleeting crack.
