It was the second stage of that exam, the one Jiraiya had proposed letting Yuu pass through cheating because he refused to study theory. During that exam, Jiraiya had personally watched Yuu turn the Forest of Death, one of Konoha's most important training grounds, into a near-level wasteland with countless slashes. The memory was still vivid in his mind. But as he spoke, Jiraiya turned toward Orochimaru, who was controlling countless giant snakes in battle beside him, and said with a grin, "Isn't that right, Orochimaru?"
At Jiraiya's words, Orochimaru's cold expression completely fell apart, and his face nearly twisted out of shape.
How could he not understand what Jiraiya meant?
