If a pirate really was lurking in Kaya's house, then she was in serious danger.

Glancing at Usopp's hurried steps, Reno grumbled inwardly.

Following Usopp, the three soon arrived before a mansion with its gates tightly shut.

Clearly, this was Kaya's home.

He didn't go far, though, finding a large rock to hide behind and watch.

At Reno's gestured signal, Nami stepped forward and knocked on the door.

After a moment, the gate slowly opened, and a man in servant's clothes walked out.

Merry, Kaya's servant.

"Mr. Merry, is that Usopp?!"

A soft voice suddenly came from inside the door.

Merry looked back and opened the door wide.

Then, Reno saw Kaya, with her short blonde hair and a face tinged with sickly pallor.

Nami and Makino both cast curious glances at Kaya.

As expected of a young lady from a wealthy family, both her looks and demeanor were exceptionally striking.

Even afflicted by an incurable disease, her natural beauty couldn't be hidden.

Nami pursed her lips, while Makino's gaze turned strange.

"Miss, it's windy outside. Please take care of your health." Beside Kaya, the butler, dressed in a black suit with slicked-back hair, reminded her with concern.

"Mr. Claudius, just a moment is fine." Kaya replied with a faint smile.

Claudius turned his head, glaring at the three of them with a hostile look, his eyes flickering.

When he looked towards Reno, his brow furrowed instinctively.

From Reno, he sensed a hint of unease.

"Not Usopp, then. May I ask what brings you here?!"

Seeing the unfamiliar Reno, Kaya inquired gently.

Reno met Kaya's gaze, then raised two fingers and smiled. "Miss Kaya, I'm here for two reasons."

"First, to help you deal with the bad guys."

"Second, to cure your illness."

"Preposterous!!"
