A black vortex emerged from the ground, and an old man with a grotesquely hunched back covered in reflected ghostly faces slowly rose from within. He leaned on a terrifying, freshly made Skeleton Staff.

With his arrival, the deathly aura in the streets abruptly doubled.

All the Terminus Knights living here stopped what they were doing, walked out of their respective single-story homes, pressed their right hands to their chests, and lowered their heads in respect.

However, the eyes of many among them also flickered with wariness.

The arrival was Starwen Mistmanto, Vice Commander of the Terminus Knight Order... He seemed not to have returned to the Knight Order for a very long time.

Moreover, Starwen had another peculiar identity: he was the Former Commander of the Terminus Knight Order.

Under normal circumstances,

when a Commander stepped down, they would retreat behind the scenes in the Holy City and take on the management of certain core affairs.
