Body Strengthening Potion That Can Increase Spiritual Power (Part 1) (Please Vote, Please Follow)
"It was no wonder that quite a few warriors qualified to exchange for this stuff would rather improve their physical condition through grueling training than take the potion!"
"But this potion actually helped improve Spiritual Power as well. And it wasn't the kind of improvement that came from pain tempering one's Spiritual Power—it genuinely increased Spiritual Power. What an unexpected delight!"
At that thought, his brows furrowed slightly again. Since this potion strengthens Spiritual Power, shouldn't mages be fighting over it? Why...
After thinking for a while, he laughed at himself. "Tsk, I'm an idiot too. This thing only improves Spiritual Power a little more effectively than normal meditation."
"Yet the price is that even a warrior like me feels as though I'm enduring torture when using it. How could mages, who don't focus on physical cultivation at all, possibly endure it!"
"And leaving aside the pain, if things go wrong and it causes muscle strains or disordered bones and tendons, even after being healed, you'd still need a few days of rest. With all that time wasted, you might as well obediently increase your Spiritual Power through meditation!"
After resting for forty-five minutes and waiting for the churning blood and energy in his body to completely settle, Fengyun said nothing and drank another Body Strengthening Potion, entering his body-tempering state once more.
The effects of a Body Strengthening Potion lasted roughly fifteen minutes. It took him around forty-five minutes to completely calm the blood and energy boiling within him because of the potion.
If he used them continuously, excluding the reduced amount of regular sleep he needed due to his increased strength, as well as the time needed to familiarize himself with and control his newly gained power, he could drink around fifteen bottles a day.
That meant thirty bottles in two days. He had originally prepared more than a hundred bottles. Taking into account the one bottle he had already taken each day before this, the remaining eighty-odd bottles would be used up in five or six days at most.
After doing some simple arithmetic, Fengyun cursed inwardly. "Damn it. If it weren't for constantly taking Body Strengthening Potions and discovering that, after breaking through the Lifting the Light as if Heavy realm and consequently reaching Level Three Spiritual Power, my recent progress in refining the elements of heaven and earth into Level Three mana had accelerated, I still wouldn't have noticed the improvement in my Spiritual Power!"
"If I'd noticed sooner..."
After some thought, Fengyun felt helpless again. "Fine. Even if I had noticed earlier, without enough merit, I still couldn't exchange for more Body Strengthening Potions!"
"Sigh, forget it. I've already decided to walk the path of a warrior. My Spiritual Power has almost entirely improved passively, little by little, during warrior training. I've barely ever actively meditated to improve it!"
"While discovering this method of using Body Strengthening Potions to improve Spiritual Power is certainly good, there's no need to care too much about it."
"After all, Body Strengthening Potions have a Level Six limit when it comes to strengthening the physique. The improvement they provide to one's mind certainly won't be limitless either. In fact, compared to their direct improvement of Spiritual Power, repeatedly enduring that bone-deep pain might bring even greater benefits by tempering one's mental will."
"It's just that once I run out of Body Strengthening Potions, how am I supposed to pass the time when I'm bored? The effects of one bottle of Blood Boil can last most of a day, and drinking it continuously would just waste its efficacy."
"Forget it. I should conserve the Body Strengthening Potions as much as possible. Five bottles a day will do. After all, that pain still affects me quite a bit while the potion's effects last!"
"In that state, I can only use around seventy percent of my strength. Though that's much better than ordinary warriors, who lose control over their bodies after taking Body Strengthening Potions and writhe on the ground like maggots, completely losing their combat ability."
"Still, it ultimately affects my combat strength. My main task right now is to watch over Lin Lei during his training, so it's better to play it safe!"
As he spoke, a huge commotion came from the distance. Then, a Raptor emerged from the forest and came here to drink.
Looking at the Raptor, Fengyun muttered, "A Raptor... This must be the one from the original story that Beibei tortured until it ran away!"
Ever since Nina's sneak attack, Fengyun had become certain that although the timing was not quite accurate, the events that were supposed to happen would probably still happen. Sure enough, not long afterward, Matt, who had fled after being attacked by an archer at the entrance to the Monster Mountain Range, appeared as well.
However, Fengyun had no interest in paying attention to such a minor character. After Matt went off to relieve himself and returned, he had already gotten himself killed.
At the time, Fengyun had thought that the Raptor would be next to appear. He had not expected that this unlucky fellow would show up so soon.
Squeak, squeak~
Beibei chirped happily nearby. In the Monster Mountain Range, this little fellow was both the happiest and the most bored.
To magical beasts, the Monster Mountain Range was home. Here, Beibei could feel a comfort and freedom that life in a human town could never give him.
But in the outskirts of the Monster Mountain Range, there was simply nothing that could make Beibei feel threatened. Level Five or Level Six magical beasts could not let him experience the joy of battle and slaughter. After staying here for so long, he had become bored, and he even began to miss all kinds of delicious food from Azure Paradise.
Whenever there was nothing to do, he would play little frontal attack-and-defense games with Fengyun. While helping Fengyun train himself, he also used Fengyun's attacks to loosen up his muscles and bones.
Today's Raptor finally gave Beibei a bit of excitement. With his interest piqued, Beibei greeted Lin Lei, then fought the Raptor like a phantom.
Watching the utterly disadvantaged Raptor, Fengyun chatted with Lin Lei. "Lin Lei, getting a little fellow like Beibei means you've really struck it lucky."
"I'd wager that Beibei has the potential to become a Saint Beast!"
Fengyun's words startled Lin Lei. But as he looked at the Raptor ahead, completely suppressed and nearly unable to fight back, he rubbed his chin. "I never thought about it before, but now that you mention it, Brother Yun, it's not impossible for Beibei to reach the Saint level!"
"After all, magical beasts have always grown more slowly than us humans, but Beibei is completely different. His strength has grown far too quickly.
"Especially his speed. Even when he was young, he had the speed of a Level Five or Level Six Warrior. Now that he's grown, his speed is already no less than that of a Level Eight or Level 9 Warrior."
"This abnormal growth rate already shows from the side just how great Beibei's potential is. I also believe that Beibei may be able to reach the Saint level in the future!"
"Actually, if I hadn't heard that there were no Saint Beast species among rats, I might even suspect that Beibei was some legendary Saint Beast!"
Fengyun nodded. "Mm, he may have mutated. After all, Beibei looks almost identical to an ordinary Little Shadow Mouse, so he's most likely a Shadow Mouse."
"It's just that Beibei mutated, which is why his fur did not turn green or purple as his strength increased."
The first round of recommendations is coming up. I really don't want to be eliminated in the first round. I'm not asking for much—just to make it into the second round.
