If he had only brought the Undead Army, Gu Xi would not have needed to rest.
He could have fought and rested as he traveled.
But with these dragonmen in tow, Gu Xi could not act so recklessly.
The dragonmen did not have the stamina to keep running nonstop.
After battle, they needed to rest, eat, and maintain their weapons and equipment.
They had many matters to attend to.
As it happened, Gu Xi also needed time to wait for the outcome on Grand Princess Anna's side.
If they kept traveling now, Gu Xi would not have been in the mood for it anyway.
So Gu Xi simply stopped and waited for Aryadovi City's response.
The dragonmen, however, did not know what Gu Xi was thinking. They assumed this was simply his normal pace of advance.
After Gu Xi gave the order to camp in place, the dragonmen swiftly took out their tents and set them up.
Gu Xi merely waved his hand, and the Troop Stockade City Gate vanished. Another City Gate replaced it, while City Walls rapidly enclosed the surrounding area, forming a relatively safe camp.
Inside the City Gate, large numbers of undead pushed out supplies of food.
Most of this food came from the Demon Plant Zone in Aryadovi City, while a small portion had been specially transported from Maze Demon City.
After setting down the food, the undead delivery workers quickly withdrew.
"These are today's rations. Handle them yourselves. Also, blacksmiths will come out shortly. If you need your weapons or equipment repaired, go find the blacksmiths yourselves.
"Pack up the camp early tomorrow morning. We depart at this time tomorrow."
