Bang!

To Angel's surprise, Trissy held back from using a substitute and took William's punch with her own body. She slammed into the wall, knocking a decorative painting off its hook. Pain twisted her beautiful face, but her gaze remained firm.

The invisible threads William had torn snapped into new positions and launched her away like a slingshot. She darted around the cramped bedroom, and golden flames sprang up wherever she had been a moment before. Their sacred aura suppressed the Demoness's gloom.

Hidden in the Mirror World, Angel had already identified William's potion sequence. His ability to turn Trissy's attempt to flee into an approach clearly belonged to the Lawyer, or rather, the Black Emperor Pathway. Given how easily he could reverse the actions of an Affliction Demoness, he was very likely Sequence 5.

Besides the Baron of Corruption's abilities, what else did he have? That authority that made people want to submit?

The golden flames were plainly a Solar High Priest's Fire of Light, similar to the ability of Klein's Sun Brooch. Perhaps they came from William's pocket watch.

While Angel watched from the sidelines, Trissy worked her way back to the bedroom door. Invisible threads acted like another hand, flinging it open so she could escape into the more spacious living room.

But with a click, her intention to open the door was tampered with, becoming an urge to "lock the door and seal this place." Even the window on the other side shut, turning the room into an enclosed space.

Another golden flame followed. This time, Trissy could not dodge. Fire of Light engulfed her, setting her ablaze like a torch over a meter tall.

Boom!

The flames exploded, black Cursed Flame mingling with them. Her delicate body caught fire, then became a short, flame-covered stick.
