Floating in a void surrounded by black and red Mirror Tunnels, Helene spent ten minutes giving Angel a complete account of what had happened in Molora's Underground Mausoleum.
"I see. The Mirror World was burned away by '0-01's' invisible, colorless flames at the time. No wonder I lost contact with you for a while...
"Fortunately, the Primordial Demoness's descent rebuilt that Special Mirror World, giving me the chance to use your prayer before entering the mausoleum to grant you the powers of an Unaging Demoness. That allowed you to resurrect through your Mirror Person and hold out until the divine descent ended... Hmm, for a Sequence 5, that wouldn't last more than ten seconds."
Angel murmured to herself, sorting through everything that had happened in Molora. Helene waited with some boredom, her gaze drifting downward toward the origins of the red and black tunnels.
Before receiving the Ice Mirror charm, Helene had traveled through the Mirror World several times under Angel's guidance. She knew that this space, similar to the Spirit World but devoid of Spirit World creatures, consisted of the spaces behind different mirrors, the tunnels connecting them, and an endless void.
Yet not far beneath her feet, an impenetrable mist now lingered. Unlike the usual dim gray tunnels, these black and red passages seemed to be made of iron and blood, extending out of the mist and drifting toward unknown destinations.
It feels like something in that mist is drawing me in. It's dangerous, yet I can't help wanting to explore... Helene narrowed her eyes. Finding that neither a Hunter's exceptional eyesight nor a Demoness's Dark Vision could penetrate the thin mist, she couldn't resist asking:
