Dual-pathway... true god?
Angel instinctively thought of the prerequisites for becoming a Great Old One: one sequence 1 characteristic from each pathway under a single sefirah, along with their corresponding uniquenesses.
Only by accommodating the sefirah on that foundation could one become a true Great Old One.
One reason Death Salinger had held a status above that of a true god without becoming a Great Old One was that the uniqueness he had accommodated had not belonged to an adjacent pathway. Another was that he had done things in the wrong order.
So the correct order was to first accommodate the uniquenesses of adjacent pathways, become a true god of multiple pathways, then attract and accommodate the sefirah? No, perhaps that was merely a prerequisite for the Red Priest to bring about the City of Calamity's descent, rather than the correct order of accommodation... Angel pondered for a moment, then looked up at Medici. Seeing that he had no intention of explaining further, she changed the subject.
"Have you returned to the True Creator's service?"
She still remembered that the greatest disagreement between Medici, Sauron, and Einhorn when they had "shared a room" had been whether to recite that evil god's honorific name and obtain his help. Now that Medici was free again, his first move had probably been to seek out the being he had once served—a god who could be considered half the Ancient Sun God.
Medici nodded, traced an inverted cross over his chest, and said solemnly:
"His light shall once again shine upon the earth and nourish all things."
Really? Why do I remember the Forsaken Land of the Gods being pitch-black, without even stars, let alone the sun... Has obtaining the Blasphemy Slate cleared his entire head—no, his entire divine mind? Angel grumbled inwardly, then
