The instant Angel noticed this, she activated Mirror Substitution and entered the Mirror World, leaving only a substitute standing blankly in her place.
The space behind the mirrors was just as it had been on her countless previous visits: dim and indistinct, with only the various mirrors connected to the outside world giving off different lights, and passages crisscrossing between them.
There's a Mirror World even within the dream, but I can't enter the City of Calamity directly... That means whoever owns this dream has some concept of the Mirror World's existence, but knows nothing about the power of a sefirah... There may not even be an "owner." Perhaps this is simply the effect of some Sealed Artifact.
She waited in the Mirror World for a few minutes. Only after finding that nothing outside had changed did she return reluctantly to reality, approach the window with its slatted blinds and arched decorations, and look out at Tizamo Town beneath the somewhat dim moonlight.
Just as she had sensed earlier, the bars, which had still been bustling with visitors from out of town despite the late hour, were now shrouded in darkness. The faint scent of spices and the smoky aromas of roasted meat and insects had vanished from the air. Not a single light shone anywhere in town. Under the faint crimson moonlight, its hazy outline resembled a crudely made model.
Even the beasts and mosquitoes have vanished. I suspect there aren't even any microorganisms in the air... Did this dream version of Tizamo Town only "copy" the buildings and furnishings in reality, without bringing in any living creatures?
Angel's eyes flickered as she quickly performed Mirror Divination several times, confirming that there were no living creatures in town apart from herself.
