To advance to a Great Old One, the Sequence 1 Characteristics and Uniquenesses of one's own and adjacent pathways, along with the corresponding sefirah, were all indispensable. Yet apart from Sefirah Castle and the Chaos Sea, the other seven sefirah on Earth had all been sealed on the Western Continent, while almost all Beyonder Characteristics lay outside the seal.
Angel now knew that the Celestial Worthy had deliberately created this situation before his fall. God Almighty might have simply let it happen without intervening. The aim was to force the other True Gods to cultivate a Lord of Mysteries or God Almighty, so that these two pillar-level Great Old Ones could lift the seal and release the other sefirah.
And that would give the two pillars a chance to awaken and resurrect.
Their plan had been highly effective. With only a little over a decade left before the Apocalypse, the seven sefirah on the Western Continent remained sealed. Although power had leaked from sefirah such as the City of Calamity and the River of Eternal Darkness, it was not enough to nurture a genuine Great Old One.
Thus, before the birth of the Lord of Mysteries or God Almighty, even if Angel could control some of the City of Calamity's power and reach the Western Continent through mystical communion to meet the Dao Integrators of several sefirah, she could not truly become the Calamity of Destruction until the seal was actually lifted. The other True Gods stood even less of a chance.
At Angel's question, the Goddess's voice grew somber as well:
"Toward the end of the Dream Festival, I met the Underworld Daoist who suppressed the Blood Emperor and helped the Devil Monarch's avatar slumber. From the moment he entered the River of Eternal Darkness, he was effectively dead.
