"Abandon 'Mother' and return to the 'Moon' pathway?"
Holding the nonexistent infant in her arms and playing the role of a "mother," Lilith murmured the words again. After a moment, she shook her head and said:
"The symbolism of the 'Moon' is just as dangerous. During the dark ages, before the 'Sun' was born, a certain Great Old One outside the barrier used its own symbolism to light the extinguished star, yet its light could not penetrate the barrier to illuminate this world. Even then, the crimson moon already hung high above, and that pillar-level Great Old One used the power of the Brood Hive to influence everything within the barrier.
"And I, who had the misfortune of accommodating the 'Moon' uniqueness, felt this particularly keenly. That was also why, after recovering my sanity, I agreed to Amanises and Grisha's proposal and was willing to abandon everything to start over on another pathway."
So the Second Epoch was called the "dark ages" because there really was no sun, not because it was a dark period in human history... Could the one who lit the star have been the "Supernova Dominator"? Judging by the Outer Deities' names, only that one had the corresponding authority and motivation to do such a thing... Angel pondered this. Seeing that Lilith had fallen silent, she tried to persuade her:
"If you continue to hold the authority of 'Mother,' you may not even be able to maintain your current state once the barrier weakens further, or the seal on the Western Continent is lifted.
"Besides, the Evernight Goddess and the current 'True Creator' will help you with this again."
Again... A light shone in Lilith's eyes, as though she had recalled something from the past.
