Audrey asked in confusion.

Her personal maid and guards were following in another carriage, and everyone inside this one was "one of their own." That was why she asked directly instead of waiting until tomorrow's Tarot Club meeting for Miss Empress to clear up her confusion.

Of course, to guard against Hvin Rambis having left some means of surveillance, or Empress having inadvertently fallen victim to a Psychological Suggestion, Audrey phrased her question very vaguely. It could be interpreted as asking how her conversation with that Manipulator had gone, or simply as concern for a friend.

"Who else but that professor from Backlund University, the royal family's psychological adviser, the highly respected Mr. Hvin Rambis?"

Angel answered with a smile on her lips, but not a trace of amusement in her voice.

"He felt that, as a Demoness who had returned to Backlund from Trier, I shouldn't decide so quickly who I'd spend the rest of my life with. Instead, I should follow my heart's desires and continue meeting more young nobles in high society. Of course, that also includes noblewomen and, and outstanding women like you."

Toward the end, Angel hesitated briefly, but ultimately decided to let Audrey see Hvin Rambis's sinister intentions for what they were.

Angel already wanted to kill this Spectator demigod who made no attempt to conceal his malice. After assessing her own strength against his abilities as a Sequence 4, she believed she had a good chance of defeating this Manipulator, whether through an ambush or a frontal assault.
