Guided by her spirituality, Angel entered the Mirror World from a street in the ruined city, using it to leave the City of Calamity.
She discovered that, within this city formed from a sefirah, the Mirror Tunnel led only toward the shattered sky above. That was the only direction she could take.
Without a doubt, following this tunnel would bring her back to the Physical World. To enter again next time, she might only need to retrace the same route.
But as Angel traveled through this solitary tunnel, she could feel hazy, illusory powers drawing her toward distant locations. Her eyes could not glimpse any other tunnels, but her spirituality gave her an understanding: these might be places where the City of Calamity's power leaked out.
Places like Trier, Bansy, or an abandoned village somewhere in the Forsaken Land of the Gods.
Yet as Angel gradually ascended and drew farther away from them, those locations—even the shrinking "city" beneath her feet, more than half of which was shrouded in gray fog—grew less real in her eyes.
Perhaps they were all merely projections of the sefirah's power within the Mirror World, while the source of that power, the true City of Calamity, existed nowhere on the North or South Continents, the Five Seas, or the Forsaken Land of the Gods...
With countless thoughts swirling through her mind, Angel swiftly followed the Mirror Tunnel out of this place. Emerging from the dense fog, she returned to a world filled with deep, dark tunnels and individual mirrors flashing with light.
This was the Mirror World that demonesses normally used to travel around the world.
She looked down and, sure enough, beneath the tunnels crisscrossing like a spiderweb, deep within the hazy fog, a path alternating between red and black stretched out of sight.
