Angel was still marveling at the "coincidence" of their encounter when she noticed Georgina walking straight across the entrance hall toward her, her purpose unmistakable.
The Duchess wore an evening gown whose design differed slightly from the one Angel had seen last time, though it was still black overall. Its bold design and cut perfectly outlined the figure her Beyonder characteristic kept in peak condition. Below her hips, the skirt gradually transitioned from fabric to flowing fringe, occasionally exposing her smooth-skinned, perfectly toned legs to the eyes of others.
"Christine, I didn't expect you to actually come. I thought you would turn down the invitation..."
Georgina quickly came to a stop beside Angel and spoke with undisguised delight, casually linking her arm through hers.
