Before Angel could ask, Arianna shook her head again and said:
"The 'seal' on this Mystical Item has disappeared. Do not carry it or use it, or you will end up like Hvin Rambis, drawing the attention of gazes from the cosmos and becoming corrupted without realizing it."
The "cosmos" again?
Angel frowned and instinctively asked:
"Do you mean the starry sky above us?"
As she spoke, she looked up at the crimson moon, which had become enormous under the effects of Concealment, and the night sky that looked pitch-black against it. Within that darkness, points of starlight flickered like countless eyes gazing down at the earth.
"Yes, and no," Arianna answered vaguely. "I cannot tell you any more. Once a complete concept forms in your minds, those gazes will fall upon you, corrupting you from your bodies to your spirit bodies... wait until you become angels before trying to understand all this."
That matches what my Mirror Person said. She also told me to become an angel before asking her about the truth. If I still had doubts before, what happened to Hvin Rambis today after he heard that 'information' explained everything... Angel nodded thoughtfully and stopped trying to pick up the cylinder that could fire corrosive spheres.
"Then what should we do with it?"
Klein asked from beside her. He had also been quite interested in the cylinder, but after hearing Arianna's explanation, the curiosity vanished from his eyes.
"I suggest sacrificing it to the Goddess, along with that Manipulator characteristic."
True to her title of Servant of Concealment, Arianna offered advice that did not go beyond Angel's expectations.
But that means I won't gain anything from this battle... well, not quite nothing. At least I learned the Manipulator potion formula... Angel thought, somewhat dejected.
Of course, that
