As she had during her many previous attempts to advance by drinking a potion, Angel once again experienced transcending herself and looking at her own body from a third-person perspective.
Previously, she had always believed this experience resulted from her spirituality escaping the confines of her body after accommodating the potion's Beyonder power. This time, however, she gained a new understanding.
This was not her own perspective, but the Mirror Person's gaze upon her—a sharing of senses between the two!
Under that gaze, black flames capable of burning away everything gradually appeared around Angel Granger, who stood motionless after drinking the Catastrophe potion. Meteors of different sizes and shapes materialized overhead, only to be swept into the vortex of black flames, circling her like satellites around a planet. White lightning struck out of thin air, like blades tearing through the flames. The entire Night Emperor Memorial Hall shook, caught in an increasingly powerful earthquake.
Had she drunk the potion in the outside world, these catastrophes accompanying her advancement would likely have spread across a considerable area, perhaps even destroying a city or sinking an island.
But the Regular Octahedron hovering overhead, the manifestation of the Hand of Order that shone with dark golden light, seemed to sense the approaching danger. The intricate runes emerging within it formed golden ribbons that circled Angel and the small catastrophes around her, enclosing them and confining them to this space.
The earthquake gradually subsided. Under the suppression of the power of order, the storms, meteors, and black flames also ceased their rampage. Yet the pain coursing through Angel's body did not fade.
