On the Ishgar Continent, in a small town within a remote country.

Inside a bakery called Scarlet Celestial Maiden, a child with short brown hair, looking to be about one year old, sat at the counter watching the shop.

Until Aileen happened to meet one of the strongest mages in the world, one of the protagonists who ran through the entire original timeline, and also one of the final villains: the Dark Mage Zeref!

With Zeref's help, Aileen finally gained a false human form, which brought her a brief moment of happiness!

But that human form was ultimately false! Aileen's essence had already been eroded by Dragon Slayer Magic, turning her into a dragon. After that brief happiness came even greater pain.

Because of the side effects of becoming a dragon, Aileen could not sleep and could not taste food...

Tormented by the side effects of becoming a dragon and the painful memories of being abandoned and abused by that scumbag, Aileen's mind nearly collapsed. She even considered taking over the body of the child in her womb so she could become human again!

But in the end, Aileen's maternal instincts overcame her beastly nature. Amid despair and pain, to stop her crumbling self from taking over her young daughter's body, she regretfully abandoned the newborn Erza. She then joined Zeref's faction, becoming one of Zeref's two strongest subordinates, Aileen Belserion, known as Scarlet Despair, one of the Two Arms of the Western Empire...

But tragedy did not spare Aileen because of this...

Then the tragedy continued. Zeref, having apparently lost his mind, chose to launch a full-scale invasion of the Ishgar Continent in order to gain the power to punish the Black Dragon Acnologia. He formally began a final battle against the protagonists, the mages of Fairy Tail!

As one of Zeref's strongest subordinates, Aileen naturally became enemies with her own daughter, Erza, who was in Fairy Tail and was also one of the protagonists. Their opposing factions forced mother and daughter into a painful duel.

Although Aileen was incomparably powerful, she ultimately could not bring herself to strike her biological daughter. She narrowly lost to Erza's blade, and then the cruelest event in the entire story occurred. When the Black Dragon Acnologia learned that Aileen was the founder of Dragon Slayer Magic, Acnologia, equally insane and intent on destroying all dragons and Dragon Slayer Mages, cruelly destroyed Aileen's body completely.

Thus, Aileen's tragic life came to an end. However, Ywen had heard that in the sequel to Fairy Tail, Aileen had not completely died, though he did not know much about that.

Because Ywen would absolutely not stand by and watch Aileen walk that path of destruction again!

Over the past year, Ywen had developed feelings for Aileen.
