Bright landed with Tesoro on a stretch of shore somewhere on the ruined island.
When they came down, several strange dinosaur-like creatures on the shore fled in panic.
"This is incredible. It's even formed a small ecosystem?"
Tesoro said in amazement, "Because it's so enormous and swallowed so much stuff, creatures have multiplied and survived inside its belly!"
"Haha, this thing is practically a moving island!"
Bright nodded lightly. Though it was much smaller in size, it was not much inferior to Zunesha.
But that was not the important part. The important part was—
Bright and Tesoro turned their heads at the same time, looking toward the jungle.
"You! Are you humans??"
An excited voice rang out from the jungle.
Its surprise carried an indescribable exhilaration.
A little girl in a gray dress burst out of the jungle.
She had a mess of blonde hair, and an utterly delighted smile on her dirty little face.
She looked to be only six or seven years old.
"Ohhh!"
The little girl excitedly circled Bright and Tesoro several times.
Then she timidly reached out and touched Tesoro's leg. As though startled, she immediately sprang far back.
Only after seeing that Bright and Tesoro made no move did she quickly come close again.
"You really are humans! Hey, were you swallowed by Lord Lantern too?"
The little girl asked impatiently.
Her voice was not as soft and childish as that of girls her age. It sounded slightly hoarse, and with its inexplicably high pitch, it would be easy to misjudge her age based on her voice alone.
Mm.
Of course, trying to judge her age by her appearance alone was already wildly mistaken.
