Bright rescued Lola from Moria, then tested Ace and began teaching the Spade Pirates Haki. When the Government captured Ace and his crew and staged a public execution to draw Bright away from Fish-Man Island, Bright confronted the Navy while Gion’s forces attacked the island.

• Bright defeated Moria and restored the stolen shadows, then escorted Lola and her crew out of the Mysterious Triangle Zone.
• Ace refused the Government’s offer of a Shichibukai position and sailed toward Fish-Man Island, where Bright fought him and the Spade Pirates before agreeing to teach them Haki.
• Bright trained Ace and his crew, while Arlong and Shirahoshi searched for unfamiliar fish-men spying near Fish-Man Island.
• The fish-men captured Ace and separated him from his crew, and Garp warned him that the Government planned to use him against Bright.
• Bright and Tesoro suspected the public execution was a trap, but Bright left Fish-Man Island to investigate the fish-men and the Government held the execution at Navy G-1 Base.
• Bright arrived in dragon form and attacked the Navy, while the Five Elders ordered Gion’s forces to assault Fish-Man Island.

Bright defeated the Navy’s top officers, rescued Vegapunk, and helped Fish-Man Island prepare for war as the World Government turned against him. He then recruited Law for a dangerous surgery and brought the Heart Pirates into a developing encounter with Germa 66.

• Stussy’s rescue attempt ended in disaster when Alexander killed him, while Uta trapped Momousagi and her team in an illusion.
• Bright defeated Sengoku, Kizaru, Fujitora, and Ryokugyu at G-1, then carried Ace and the Spade Pirates to safety.
• Bright returned to Fish-Man Island, captured Momousagi and the other transformed Marines, and learned that the government’s underwater forces depended on Vegapunk’s technology.
• Bright took Vegapunk and his clone from Punk Hazard to Egghead, where they explored ancient ruins and learned about the Great Kingdom and Pluto’s energy technology.
• The Vegapunks joined Master Tom and his team at Sea Forest to help finish Pluto, while Morgans exposed the government’s transformation of Marine officers into fish-men.
• Bright handed Momousagi and the other captured Marines to Zephyr at the NEO Marines’ headquarters, then returned to Fish-Man Island to stop Vegapunk from cutting off his head.
• Using Shyarly’s vision, Bright found Law on Svalbard Island and persuaded him to perform a dangerous surgery, while Law’s crew chose to accompany them.
• Bright told Law and his crew about Germa 66 as a government representative pressed Vinsmoke Judge to accept the government’s goodwill.

Bright brought Judge and Vegapunk together, recovered Pure Gold, and sheltered Ashiya and Olga on Fish-Man Island before leading the NEO Marines’ escape from the World Government’s Divine Punishment. After surviving the weapon’s bombardment, Bright began explaining the ancient conflict between Joy Boy and Imu.

• Bright killed the CP0 agents, defeated Judge and his sons, and took Judge to Fish-Man Island, where Vegapunk enlisted him to help with the Seraphim Project.
• Bright found Pure Gold inside the Lanternfish, reunited Ashiya with Olga, and brought them to Fish-Man Island, where Olga received medicine and Ashiya agreed to stay.
• Momousagi escaped the NEO Marines’ underwater prison, but Gion reported their headquarters to the World Government, prompting Bright to evacuate the island.
• Bright raised the NEO Marines’ island into the air, but the Divine Punishment attacked, and Kuma, Akainu, and Aokiji joined Bright and Zephyr in helping the survivors escape.
• Bright outran the weapon’s repeated barrages, while the survivors mourned the dead and Zephyr invited Akainu and Aokiji to join his fight against the World Government.
• Bright told Akainu and Aokiji that the Bikans had brought science to the Blue Sea and that Joy Boy’s campaign against slavery led to the founding of a diverse kingdom.
• Bright explained that Imu allied with Bika’s former royal family, whose Lunarians destroyed Bika, after which its scientists created Devil Fruits for Joy Boy’s kingdom and the war began.

Bright revealed the hidden history and brought former Admirals and other allies into his struggle against the World Government. As Caesar built a deep-sea army and Gion exposed his experiments, Bright prepared to attend the unprecedented Reverie, where the Government planned to rally the nations for war.

• Bright explained how Imu’s betrayal destroyed Joy Boy’s kingdom, then persuaded Aokiji and Akainu to join Zephyr’s cause.
• The World Government branded Akainu and Aokiji traitors, while Bright returned to Fish-Man Island and planned for the coming conflict.
• Vegapunk activated five clones and showed Bright the Seraphim, while Caesar transformed Doberman and began developing a deep-sea army.
• Gion learned that Caesar had used Doberman and his men as test subjects, escaped with Doberman’s help, and was branded a Navy traitor.
• Bright sheltered Gion on Fish-Man Island, where she resolved to expose the Government’s crimes and free the Navy from its control.
• Gion told Chaton the truth, prompting him to investigate, while Bright and his allies searched for Caesar’s base and the Government’s new army.
