Lana Lang paused before a mural.
Her beautiful black eyes stared at it, her face filled with seriousness.
Her gaze settled on the torch in the woman's hand within the mural.
The tiny torch bore the image of three eyes.
"All right, you stay here and look. I'll check somewhere else."
Her boyfriend, Jason, clearly had no interest in the mural.
He turned and ran off to another exhibition hall to admire oil paintings of young models copied by master artists, leaving Lana Lang alone before the mural.
"A mural from the primitive era."
Just as Lana Lang stared blankly at the mural, a woman's voice quietly sounded behind her.
Lana Lang turned around and saw a tall, long-legged black-haired beauty with gold-rimmed glasses, gazing at the mural as well.
Her black trench coat swayed as Diana glanced at Lana Lang and said, "It was painted in ancient times. It's said to record the story of the gods' birth."
"The gods' birth?" Lana Lang frowned in confusion, her gaze repeatedly falling upon the three eyes in the mural.
Diana sneered. "That's right, the gods' birth. A bunch of hypocritical, sanctimonious things became gods."
The woman took a deep look at the three eyes on the torch, then shook her head. "There is a legend on the Amazon islands."
"The world was created by a goddess named Hecate."
"She brought light to the world and brought magic. She bestowed magic upon certain humans."
"Those humans who received her magic became powerful beings. They became the first gods."
"But those gods betrayed the goddess. They deceived her and imprisoned her."
"And so the goddess swore that one day, she would take revenge upon the world."
"So?" Lana Lang knitted her brows, thinking of the medieval witch possessing her.
