Gotham City.

High-rises of varying heights stood in uneven clusters.

An abandoned junkyard far from the city center was filled with shipping containers piled like mountains.

Yet beyond the junkyard, a massive ocher mountain, shaped like a triangle, rose majestically above it.

Lightning occasionally struck from the pitch-black clouds surrounding it, making it look dangerous and terrifying.

"I've dispersed the nearby civilians who came to watch, as you instructed."

Gordon climbed the slope, panting heavily as he looked at the tall figure beneath the black cape.

He remembered when they had first met while investigating the Court of Owls. It seemed like a long time ago, yet Batman still looked the same—dark, unfathomable, gloomy, but reliable.

"Batman, what are you waiting for?"

Gordon was somewhat curious.

But before Batman could answer, a sharp rush of air overhead was followed by sonic booms. The detective in the brown trench coat watched in shock as three figures descended from the sky.

The young man at the forefront had long golden hair. Gordon often saw him on television and in newspapers.

Behind him stood a stern-faced yet valiant female warrior, as well as a black-haired young man in jeans.

"Well, looks like they're your partners."

Gordon sighed, turned around, and headed back down the slope, choosing to leave the area to the Justice League.

"What a huge mountain."

Standing on the slope, Clark looked at the mountain that seemed deeply ominous.

"My satellite surveillance shows—" Batman ignored Clark's wide-mouthed exclamation and went straight to Jino, tapping at the keyboard to pull up rows of data.
