After sweeping his opponent off his feet, then leaping up and slamming down neatly onto Joker's abdomen, drawing a scream from him, Batman gave his cape a slight flick. Like darkness itself, he looked at Joker expressionlessly and said, "It's over, Joker."
"No, something's wrong!"
Joker staggered to his feet, his dark green pupils filled with confusion and rage.
As Batman's soulmate—as Joker saw it—and Batman's best partner,
Joker had keenly noticed during his fight with Batman—meaning his one-sided beating—that the other man's strength and reaction speed were more than a level faster than before.
Batman was still Batman, but his physical abilities had far exceeded Joker's expectations. Moreover, from the subtle pauses in his movements, Joker could tell that he seemed to be talking to someone.
But Joker had observed that he was not wearing an earpiece.
And when Joker had fired earlier, an eerie mass of black sludge had actually surged out of Batman's skin and caught the bullet for him.
After ruling out every impossibility, a crazed thought arose in Joker's mind.
His Batman had found someone new!
And that person was far more intimate with Batman than Joker was!
After all, that thing was practically glued to Batsy!

Before Joker could get back up, Batman viciously kicked him in the stomach again, knocking him flat on the ground once more.
"Hahahaha, yes, it's over—but I don't think it's completely over yet!"
Lying on the ground, Joker did not panic as Batman had expected.
Instead, he grinned wickedly and pulled a button from his pocket, pressing it lightly.

As the button was pressed, the dome enclosing them abruptly opened. One sturdy machine gun after another slowly descended from the ceiling, their barrels humming as they turned toward Batman and Joker.
