Bruce felt lighter than he had in a long time.

Some of the chocolates were made in France, while others came from major cocoa-producing countries. Either way, every one of them was from an expensive brand and tasted superb.

Butler-Man Alfred stood behind Brother Eye in a crisp suit, his eyes full of relief as he looked at the figure seated before the computer desk.
That look was like that of an old father finally seeing his overworked son set down some of his burdens and live a little more lightly.
Alfred could no longer remember when Bruce had stopped eating sweets, but the moment he saw Bruce savoring them, the Old Butler felt considerably lighter himself.
His master had finally learned to put down his burdens and enjoy a moment of happiness.
"Master, sweets may be delicious, but you shouldn't eat too much."
Alfred watched Bruce finish the last piece of chocolate, while the wrappers had already piled up into a mountain.
If his master did not work out so regularly, Alfred would truly have feared that Bruce might pass out from high blood sugar after eating so much chocolate.
"I know, Alfred."
Batman nodded lightly as he stared without blinking at the cold, blue-lit computer screen, watching every movement upon it. At the same time, his other hand wiped the chocolate from the corner of his mouth.
Multitasking might have been difficult for others, but it came easily to Batman.
