Asgard.

Like something out of a fairy tale, the beautiful, perfect, multicolored Rainbow Bridge seemed to be forged from the most crystal-clear glass in the world, radiant, dazzling, and magnificent.

Upon the Rainbow Bridge stood Asgard's gatekeeper and its controller, Heimdall. Clad in Golden Battle Armor and holding a Golden Lacquer Longsword, he stared expressionlessly into the distant starry sky.

Dark golden light flickered in his eyes beneath his dark face.

With eyes capable of observing the Six Realms, like a living surveillance radar, no dark secret could hide from his gaze.

"I am Heimdall. I am the Eye of the Nine Realms."

The man stood tall at the entrance to the Rainbow Bridge, gripping his longsword in both hands.

His profound gaze remained fixed on the distant universe.

He was watching Asgard's exiled eldest prince, the dim-witted Thor, the God of Thunder.

Yet unlike the valiant and battle-hardened Thor who had once been in Asgard, Thor in Midgard was currently sprawled lazily across a couch like a slovenly shut-in.

Unlike the Thor who had wept bitterly on his first day of exile from Asgard, the blond, muscular man could now watch television while stuffing himself with a Midgard delicacy called potato chips, letting out snickering laughs all the while.

"Heimdall."

Just as the far-seeing watcher observed the scene in Midgard,

light footsteps sounded behind him.

That somewhat effeminate, cold voice came from behind him.

Heimdall turned at the sound and saw Loki, clad in a Dark Green Robe and holding Gungnir, the symbol of Odin's authority, slowly walking toward him.

"Your Highness, the Second Prince."

Heimdall gave a slight nod. As one of All-Father Odin's most trusted right-hand men, he had no need to bow and scrape before anyone besides Odin.

Loki was clearly accustomed to Heimdall's indifference.
