A relentless series of explosions nearly swept across the entire street.
Concrete shattered, and streetlights exploded.
Even the fire hydrants by the roadside burst under the concentrated bombardment of missiles and laser weapons, sending countless jets of tap water erupting from underground and splashing into waves.
Fortunately, old New Yorkers had an exceptional instinct for saving their own lives.
The moment they saw the Destroyer Armor appear, they had already fled.
Or rather, those who ran too slowly had died in the previous New York City crises. The ones who survived were the elite.
So, getting back to the point, Tony's conventional weapons hadn't harmed a single civilian. Instead, the saturation barrage landed almost entirely on the Destroyer Armor, battering the enormous metal can until it staggered backward again and again.
Tony even struck the classic pose of a real man never looking back at an explosion, crossing his arms as he controlled the Iron Armor with his back to the Destroyer.
Bzzz!
But, as the rule went, nobody got to look cool for more than three seconds.
Before Tony could enjoy being the center of attention, a blazing laser shot skimmed past his head and slammed into another suit behind him.
Bang!
Without the slightest resistance, the Iron Armor exploded in midair into a dazzling firework.
"Holy shit!"
Inside his armor, Tony watched the scene unfold with his own eyes and immediately blurted out a fine piece of American national heritage.
He quickly spun around and saw the massive metal armor step slowly out of the thick smoke. The huge orange-red light atop its head glowed with a brilliant golden radiance.
