Jino had originally planned to spend the day obediently attending classes at school.
Unfortunately, before he even reached the academic building, a phone call interrupted his plans.
"The experiment is about to begin. You'd better get here quickly."
Lex sounded excited on the other end of the line. After merely telling Jino to hurry over, he hung up.
"Now that's efficiency." Jino smiled helplessly. His bargain-bin older brother never dragged his feet when doing things—he acted fast, that was all there was to it.
Just then, Jino spotted the campus trio approaching from the west.
"Jino, why are you standing here?" Chloe had her hands behind her back, still looking as carefree as ever. Tilting her head, she looked at Jino. "You seem pretty happy?"
The corner of the boy's mouth curled upward, and he did seem to be in a good mood.
"Am I not allowed to be happy?" Jino smiled and patted Chloe on the shoulder, his gaze landing on Clark and Pete behind her, both wearing unpleasant expressions.
Jino glanced at Clark's long face and guessed he was probably upset because Chloe had scraped the paint off his SUV.
But Jino wasn't in the mood to comfort Clark right now.
He had to get to the factory and take part in the experiment. If his idiot brother's experiment failed, he might be able to help.
Jino withdrew his gaze and looked at Chloe. "Chloe, something came up at my company, so please ask the teachers for leave on my behalf."
"Leave?" Chloe wanted to ask what he was going to do, but she kept the question to herself and nodded. "Okay."
After parting with the three of them, Jino drove his silver supercar at full speed to the factory.
