Chen Yan and Gu Yuena returned to Douluo Continent, enrolled in a special academy class, and impressed their teachers and classmates with their abilities. After Chen Yan learned to use the phoenix jade pendant, the arc ended with him and Gu Yuena defeating Zhang Yu in a combat test.

• Chen Yan and Gu Yuena reconciled, attended an auction together, and bought a phoenix jade pendant that drew Chen Yan into a golden space where an armored figure taught him its uses.
