Xiao Chen used his system-granted powers to win Xiao Wu’s affection, defeat Tang San and Nuoding Academy’s challengers, and gain a second Martial Soul. He left Nuoding with Xiao Wu for Shrek Academy, where they met Ning Rongrong near Suotuo City.

• Xiao Chen arrived at Nuoding Academy, evolved his Martial Soul into the Golden Dragon King, and met Xiao Wu, whose affection for him steadily grew.
• Xiao Chen defeated Tang San in the Seventh Dormitory and rebuffed Yu Xiaogang’s attempt to make him a disciple, then led the students to the cafeteria and completed a Hidden Quest.
• Xiao Chen revealed a Ten-Thousand-Year Soul Ring in the Soul Hunting Forest, protected Xiao Wu, and overwhelmed the Mandala Snake and Tang San’s group.
• Xiao Chen defeated Boss Xiao’s lackeys and Tang San, claimed the title of Nuoding Academy’s boss, and received the God-Slaying Sword as his second Martial Soul.
• Xiao Chen defeated Nuoding Academy’s Second Ring teachers and guards, then overpowered Yu Xiaogang and Luo Sanpao before leaving with Xiao Wu.

Xiao Chen entered Shrek Academy with Xiao Wu and Ning Rongrong, passed Zhao Wuji’s test, and drew Zhu Zhuqing into his growing circle. After surviving Tang Hao’s challenge and becoming Chen Xin’s disciple, Xiao Chen began exploring the academy with the three girls, where Ma Hongjun threatened Xiao Wu.

• Xiao Chen defeated Dai Mubai at the Rose Hotel, then arrived at Shrek and bested Tang San and Dai Mubai again before Ning Rongrong used her sect status to settle a dispute over registration fees.
• Xiao Chen took command of the fourth test and protected Ning Rongrong while Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing fought Zhao Wuji, then defeated Zhao Wuji with his Golden Dragon King Martial Soul.
• Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, Zhu Zhuqing, and Xiao Chen moved into the girls’ dormitory, where Xiao Chen gave Zhu Zhuqing fish jerky that helped her cultivate.
• Dai Mubai confronted Zhu Zhuqing, but Xiao Chen struck him down, and Zhu Zhuqing kissed Xiao Chen before accepting gifts to help her protect herself.
• Xiao Chen faced Tang Hao and blocked his hammer strike, then Chen Xin intervened, drove Tang Hao away, and accepted Xiao Chen as his disciple.
• Xiao Chen comforted Zhu Zhuqing after she hurt her wrist, while Ning Rongrong secretly watched him and Xiao Wu and grew more favorably disposed toward him.
• Xiao Chen took Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing to explore the academy and practice teamwork, where Ma Hongjun approached Zhu Zhuqing with a rose and charged at Xiao Wu after she insulted him.

Xiao Chen defied Yu Xiaogang, protected Zhu Zhuqing, and helped her awaken a stronger Martial Soul before leading her and Xiao Wu to victory in a team battle. Dai Mubai and Tang San then arranged to hire assassins to kill Xiao Chen.

• Xiao Chen beat Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai, then rejected Yu Xiaogang’s authority and knocked him unconscious when he tried to force the students into training.
• At Suo Tuo Great Spirit Arena, Xiao Chen humiliated Dai Mubai and helped Zhu Zhuqing prepare for her match by testing her physical limits.
• Dai Mubai plotted to humiliate Zhu Zhuqing in the arena, but Xiao Chen confronted him and forced him to roll back to his room.
• Xiao Chen carried Zhu Zhuqing into their match, where she attacked him repeatedly and declared that she wanted to seize her future with her own hands.
• Flender caught Yu Xiaogang at a pleasure house, beat him, and later asked Xiao Chen to help keep Liu Erlong away from him.
• Zhu Zhuqing’s Martial Soul mutation succeeded, raising her Soul Power and giving her Cat Claws attacks that could strike from a distance.
• Xiao Chen defeated the seven members of the Divine Soldier Team with sword aura, then sent Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing to finish them off and win the battle.
• Dai Mubai and Tang San recruited Ma Hongjun and Oscar’s savings to hire assassins, while Tang San prepared poison for the attack on Xiao Chen.

Xiao Chen protected his companions and demonstrated his strength in the Star Dou Great Forest, earning the recognition of Da Ming and Er Ming. He helped Gu Yuena recover and raised Xiao Wu’s third Soul Ring to 4,000 years, leaving the group prepared to return.

• Xiao Chen defeated Dai Mubai’s assassins, broke Dai Mubai’s legs, and exposed his flight from the Star Luo Empire, turning the other Soul Masters against him.
• Xiao Chen helped Meng Yiran obtain a Netherworld Death Snake Soul Ring, then secured Zhu Zhuqing a four-thousand-year Netherworld Hunter Cat Soul Ring.
• Xiao Chen and Xiao Wu arranged for Ten Thousand Year Soul Beasts to harass Tang San, Zhao Wuji, Ma Hongjun, and Oscar while sparing their lives.
• Xiao Chen reunited Xiao Wu with Da Ming and Er Ming, vowed to protect her, and won their recognition by fighting Er Ming and sparring with Da Ming.
