Background / History
In the Oak Owl era experienced within the High Tower, Fengtang was a top-ranked Oak Owl raising three daughters—Feng Mu, Feng Cang, and Feng Ran—during Forest Sea's invasion. She personally took them into Instance Barriers, leveled them, and trained their combat abilities while refusing to favor one daughter over another. 328 330
Fengtang supported Feng Ran's refusal to use her resurrection skill on a distant relative, even when the decision led Feng Gao to sever ties with them. Her original team subsequently disbanded, and she resigned as legion commander. 331
Her strength and generosity later drew Oak Owls back to her. With a Legion Token, she founded [Afternoon Tea], accepted even previous detractors, and made Feng Ran's resurrection skill exclusively reserved for herself. She eventually chose Feng Mu as her successor before departing for the World Battlefield. 332 333
Fengtang returned from the World Battlefield missing an eye and a leg, then led her daughters and loyal [Afternoon Tea] members to the High Tower. 333
In Astralana, Rong Shan took Fengtang as an apprentice and forcibly elevated her God-Bestowed Talent from B-rank to S-rank. Fengtang later broke with him, apparently having prepared a contingency plan. 920
Appearance
Fengtang is an Oak Owl with long, slightly curly orange-red hair and orange-red wings. Her appearance is described as dashing and heroic rather than ornate; she favors clean, practical presentation and ties her hair with a simple grass rope. 328
- Orange-red wings, later manifested as massive orange-red light wings in combat. 342 450
- Long, naturally curly orange-red hair. 328 336
- Carries herself with pronounced battle intent and authority. 328 342
- Uses a long spear as a primary weapon. 932 947
Personality
Fengtang is proud, thrill-seeking, and intensely drawn to difficult fights. She enjoys high-speed flight through Forest Sea, regards scars as medals, and treats desperate battles as games. She disdains weakness but actively seeks opponents stronger than herself. 328
As a leader, she is calculating rather than impulsively vindictive. She believes strength alone cannot earn lasting trust, so she uses generosity to cultivate followers before removing those who become liabilities. This approach made [Afternoon Tea] both disciplined and influential. 332 337
Her affection for family is direct and uncompromising. She protected Feng Ran’s right to withhold resurrection, gave each daughter equal resources, and personally endured a month of storms to guide Feng Ran’s lightning-wing metamorphosis. 330 331 336 However, her protectiveness can become ruthless: the Bear Cookies associated with Feng Ran were made from captured Autumn Bears. 354
