Chapters 1–26 Vol. 1 Read

  • Yu Xunge got Yu Xunhuan to drink baijiu, knocking him unconscious before the closed beta began.
  • Yu Xunge dragged Yu Xunhuan into his room and waited there, determined to keep him from playing the game.

Ch. 2Draw God-Bestowed Talent

Yu Xunge created a character in Dread Rift: Warcraft and repeatedly rerolled her God-Bestowed Talent, hoping to improve on the A-rank talent she had received in her previous life. She finally obtained the S-rank Thief God talent and chose it without hesitation.

  • At 2:22, Yu Xunge searched for Dread Rift: Warcraft and began creating a character, choosing the undead race for its powerful racial talents.
  • Yu Xunge drew her previous-life A-rank Acting talent, deleted the character, and started over to seek a better talent.
  • Yu Xunge considered Broker, Ascension, and Sleight of Hand but rejected them after weighing their benefits and risks.
  • After more rerolls, Yu Xunge drew the S-rank Thief God talent, which let her steal items, attributes, and even another person's God-Bestowed Talent.
  • Yu Xunge chose Thief God without hesitation.

Ch. 3Thief God (S-rank)

Yu Xunge used her S-rank Thief God talent to steal valuable items from Undead city NPCs, then spent her earnings learning life skills and beginner Alchemy. With the server closing in a few hours, she had reached Intermediate Alchemy but was broke and needed to steal more money to advance.

  • Yu Xunge entered the Undead city as Gē Wū Ēn, accepted quests, and stole a Rune Backpack, eighteen gold coins, and one Agility from NPCs.
  • Yu Xunge completed seventeen quests, then learned Cooking, Fishing, First Aid, and Beginner Alchemy, buying every beginner alchemy recipe she could afford.
  • Yu Xunge spent her remaining money on ingredients for healing, mana, and invisibility potions and brewed eight hundred batches at the potion shop.
  • Yu Xunge raised Alchemy to Intermediate, but discovered that upgrading it required one hundred gold coins, so she returned to the streets to steal from NPCs.

Ch. 4Theft of the Thief God Could Also Mean the Theft of a Bandit

Yu Xunge sold stolen gear, learned Alchemy and Engineering, and used her game character to steal the Undead City Lord Orlov D.’s talent. Her phone vanished and her game inventory and character panel appeared in the real world, leaving her with an incomplete SS-rank Immortal talent and the possibility of using the Thief God skill again.

  • Yu Xunge stole a level 40 purple bow from the innkeeper and sold it for 1,000 gold, then raised Alchemy and Engineering and crafted guns, bullets, and explosives.
  • Yu Xunge spent her remaining gold on herbs and waited until Yu Xunhuan was asleep before taking her game character to the Undead City Lord’s palace.
  • Yu Xunge told the guards there was a problem with the anchor point, received 100 gold, and then approached Orlov D. to use Theft of the Thief God Could Also Mean the Theft of a Bandit.
  • The theft succeeded but interrupted because Orlov D.’s God-Bestowed Talent was too high-level; Yu Xunge’s character died, her phone broke apart and burned, and game items and her character panel appeared in the real world.
  • Yu Xunge saw that she had gained the incomplete SS-rank Immortal talent and realized the Thief God skill was still lit, suggesting it could be used once more; she calmed herself and opened Immortal.

Ch. 5Immortal

Yu Xunge learned the details of the Immortal talent she had stolen and began preparing for the coming Game Invasion. She secured the villa tied to a valuable Dungeon Entrance in her previous life, tested her undead control skill, and organized her supplies.

  • Yu Xunge left Yu Qingshan and Yi Qiuguo after pretending she had come home drunk, then discovered she could not steal from them because they were below her life level.

Ch. 6Only the Dead Obey

Yu Xunge killed Liu Hongsheng and used Only the Dead Obey to make him frame Liu Zhengliu before leaping from a window, then misled police about what she knew. The next day, Yu Qingshan transferred her one million, and Yu Xunge suspected he and Yu Xunhuan were trying to lure her into lowering her guard.

  • Yu Xunge tested Only the Dead Obey, then disguised herself and killed Liu Hongsheng with a stun baton.
  • Yu Xunge controlled the reanimated Liu Hongsheng to invite Liu Zhengliu to the office, where he forced her to stab him and then jumped from a window.

  • Yu Qingshan called Yu Xunge with concern and transferred her one million, prompting her to suspect that he and Yu Xunhuan were baiting her.

Ch. 7The Yu Family's Hidden Wealth

Yu Xunge recalled how the Yu Family had deceived her about their wealth and destroyed her trust, then returned to their home to prepare to take the hidden treasures. She left a bone Blinkered Flowerfinch in the study to watch Yu Qingshan and began recording what she remembered from her previous life.

  • Yu Xunge remembered that Yu Qingshan and Yi Qiuguo had given her five million while hiding a secret room filled with gold, antiques, and jewelry.

  • Yu Xunge stole more Luck Value until her personal panel showed the maximum value, then hid beneath the bedsheet in Yu Xunhuan’s bedroom.
  • Su Yitong and Yu Xunhuan entered the bedroom as Yu Xunge waited for her HP to recover.

Ch. 9Luckier with Every Theft

Yu Xunge stole attributes and an A-rank Soros Mask from Su Yitong, then used the mask to disguise her Character Panel and conceal her true talents and stats. As she considered how to infiltrate the Su, Liang, and Han families through Yu Xunhuan, she weighed revenge against the danger of letting him enter the next closed beta and searched her memory for a way to stop him.

  • Yu Xunge repeatedly stole from Su Yitong, gaining 2 Luck, 1 Charm, and an A-rank Soros Mask that could disguise Character Panel information.
  • After the family left, Yu Xunge recovered at home, disguised herself, and slipped out carrying her toolbox.
  • Yu Xunge used the Soros Mask to hide her true attributes and Thief God talent behind a fabricated A-rank Broker panel.
  • On her way home, Yu Xunge reconsidered how Yu Xunhuan and Yu Qingshan had earned her trust and how she might use Yu Xunhuan to infiltrate the great families.
  • Yu Xunge decided she wanted Yu Xunhuan to suffer rather than die quickly, but worried that letting him join the next closed beta could be too risky.
  • Yu Xunge tried to recall every skill, item, piece of equipment, and potion that might help her stop Yu Xunhuan.

Ch. 10Fate Gear

Yu Xunge planned to use a Liang Family driver's Fate Gear talent to manipulate Yu Xunhuan's luck and potentially steal his talent, while preparing potions and supplies for the coming game. She also targeted Liang Yuchuan's S-rank Water God talent and planned to investigate the Liang Family, but had not yet made her move.

  • Yu Xunge rejected altering Yu Xunhuan's memories because surveillance footage could expose her deception.
  • Yu Xunge recalled how a Liang Family driver's Fate Gear talent had ruined her luck and led to her capture in her previous life.
  • Yu Xunge prepared to find the driver and test whether Fate Gear could affect people outside the game before using it on Yu Xunhuan.
  • Yu Xunge brewed potions, made beef skewers, and packed her inventory with supplies.
  • Yu Xunge planned to visit the Liang Family to pursue the driver's talent and investigate Liang Yuchuan's S-rank Water God talent.

Ch. 11Fate Gear Acquired!

  • Yu Xunge disguised herself as Su Yitong, entered Liang Yuchuan’s room, and chopped off her right forearm before Liang Yuchuan escaped by merging into blood.
  • Yu Xunge took Liang Yuchuan’s severed arm, used invisibility and phasing potions to leave the estate, then washed away the blood and destroyed her clothes.
  • Yu Xunge avoided returning home, changed disguises, and traveled to a neighboring city while Liang Yuchuan tracked the traces of her blood by helicopter.
  • Liang Yuchuan’s search reached S City, but she could not follow Yu Xunge farther and vowed to find the person who had crippled her.
  • Yu Xunge traveled to H City to find a pet hospital’s cat bed, which would become the S-rank Meow Meow Hostel after the Game Invasion.

Ch. 13Better Kill Him After All

Yu Xunge secured the S-rank cat bed, prepared for the second closed beta, and cut ties with her talent agency. She spent March building a hidden safe room equipped to expose anyone using an Invisibility Potion, while keeping her family away.

  • Yu Xunge took the cat bed from the pet hospital by disguising herself, donating two million yuan, and leaving food for stray animals.

  • At the marriage celebration, Yu Xunge showed Yu Xunhuan and Su Yitong her savings, and Su Yitong transferred her twenty million yuan.

Ch. 15Short Is Cute Too

Yu Xunge learned that Yu Xunhuan had been mutilated and listened in as he and Yu Qingshan speculated about who was responsible, while hiding their plans from the Su Family. After leaving the hospital, she resolved to keep Yu Xunhuan miserable and began preparing for the game's second closed beta by buying goods and converting her money into gold.

  • Yu Xunge asked Yu Qingshan whether the Yu Family had enemies, and he urged her to protect herself and move back to the family home.

Ch. 22Act Until Your Heart Breaks

Yu Xunge demonstrated her game powers to Yu Qingshan, Yi Qiuguo, and Yu Xunhuan, claiming a Healing Potion might cure her brother. The potion did nothing, but the family grew grateful for her confidence in them, while Yu Xunge kept her guard up and resolved to eliminate her parents if they ever gained powerful talents.
