Chapter Summaries

Yu Xunge and Zhuri advanced through the Godly Instruction preliminary round while watching the other fighters. After Yu Xunge asked about Zhuri’s past decision to take her in, Zhuri explained, and Yu Xunge claimed she fulfilled the Beaver Duke’s prophecy.

• Zhuri fought cautiously with her daggers, while Huang Jin watched her and the other players battled across the arena.
• Yu Xunge defeated the last player in her match and advanced to the glowing area at the edge of the Clock Dial; Zhuri advanced at nearly the same time.
• Yu Xunge asked Zhuri why she had taken her along at Lakeside Beneath the Bridge, and Zhuri said she had wanted to find Aihao an apprentice.
• Zhuri reminded Yu Xunge that she had bought herself and chosen to stay, while [Furious Moon] added that Zhuri had dug it up and upgraded it.
• Zhuri asked whether the Beaver Duke had lost badly, and Yu Xunge said the Beaver Duke had foretold the Star Sea’s future.
• Yu Xunge told Zhuri that the prophecy said the Mountains would fall into disorder when [Furious Moon] found a willing living being, then declared herself that being.

After the first round ended, the remaining players faced a ten-minute survival test against Captain, whose indiscriminate attacks trapped them inside a shrinking sphere of water. As players escaped using techniques taught by their deities, Yu Xunge was pushed toward Captain and prepared to use her knowledge of Who Is the Master.

• Huang Jin found Zhuri chasing and hitting the Apprentice, but Zhuri stopped short of hurting her and handed her over to Huang Jin.
• When the first round ended, 163 players remained on Yu Xunge’s shattered-clock platform, and the game announced that two platforms would be broken apart and their players redistributed.
• The second round began, and Captain appeared as a deity projection whose attributes were set at ten times the platform’s average player attributes.
• Captain attacked everyone indiscriminately as a sphere of water enclosed the battlefield and steadily shrank, while movement skills failed and players faced elimination.
• Players used techniques learned from their deities to escape the water sphere, including Qihua’s students, who opened a gap with red threads.

At the Godly Tavern, the Captain learned that Qihua and Yudun had given each other a way out and went to tease them, while Feiju and Mangmang were dragged away by flower branches.

• Queque's rain and snow with Yu Xunge's Golden Downpour triggered visions of each other's lives before they used Tragicomedy to freeze the battlefield and trap the players in painful memories.
• Yu Xunge and Queque escaped the frozen Watery Curtain Prison after punching Maple Sugar, Dawn Cicada, and Rage Prayer to wake them; the others followed before the Captain broke free and recaptured those left behind.
• Rage Prayer questioned why Yu Xunge and Queque had saved their opponents, and the group joked that they would still fight each other in the elimination rounds.

The Godly Game’s final round, Revenge Hour, began with one-on-one duels that could decide old racial grudges. Mistblade faced Zelan Kufu and prepared to answer the Moon Fox who had died in the war, but the chapter ended before their duel began.

• Yu Xunge and Queque helped cut the players on their Shattered Clock Battlefield in half, and the second round ended with about fifty survivors on each field.
• The third round used randomly reassigned Shadows of the Deity until only one hundred players remained, then rewarded survivors with access to attribute exchanges in the Honor Shop.

• Zai Jiu told Yu Xunge that the Undead teacher had refused the conversion materials and chosen to remain loyal to the Withered Overlord; Yu Xunge respected her decision.
• Qiu Lu and Mirror Goose fought evenly at first, but Mirror Goose took control of her skills and gained the advantage.
• Qiu Lu explained that With Mountain stayed in Tingzhou to honor Frost Deer, and that she killed leaders who agreed to abandon Tingzhou.
• Mirror Goose suggested Qiu Lu’s Deity Talent word was “Dutiful child,” prompting her to attack him more fiercely.
• Qiu Lu provoked Mirror Goose by threatening Wind Whale, then called him “Oasis”; Wind Whale identified with the word as Qiu Lu delivered her final strike.

Maple Sugar fought Bear Mud, who confronted her over turning Autumn Bears into cookies and accused her of acting out of anger over Forest Sea’s destruction. After Bear Mud’s Deity Talent brought them both near death, Maple Sugar refused the offer to execute part of the Autumn Bear Clan and said she still preferred Bear Cookies.

• After Qiu Lu and Tingzhou Jing'e forfeited their victory rewards, the Chaotic Star Sea revealed Maple Sugar and Bear Mud as the next opponents.
• Bear Mud challenged Maple Sugar over her treatment of Autumn Bears, and Maple Sugar declared that she felt no guilt and that the Chaotic Star Sea was rotten.
• Maple Sugar and Bear Mud fought as she attacked with low-mana skill runes and he revealed that his Deity Talent word was “Useless.”

• Yu Xunge and Mistblade asked Maple Sugar whether the Autumn Bears made into cookies were conscious and could be restored; Maple Sugar said they were conscious, could move freely, and could not be restored.
• Yu Xunge proposed that Maple Sugar turn willing Players from endangered worlds into cookies so they could be taken to higher-tier worlds with World Skills.
• The Players recognized that Bear Cookies might bypass restrictions on moving living beings between worlds and discussed the risks of concentrating populations and potentially gaining World Skills from emptied worlds.
