Background

During the Warring States period, Hikari was made into the Uchiha Clan's ultimate weapon. The Senju Clan reportedly feared her enough to join with the Sarutobi and Uzumaki clans to seal her away. The sealing technique preserved her across a century without leaving marks of time on her body. 338 352

Before her sealing, Hikari was stripped of her name and conditioned to regard herself as a weapon created solely to secure Uchiha prosperity and destroy enemies. She was taught that a weapon needed neither emotions nor a name. 352

Uchiha Yoru uncovered records of her existence in a Root archive, traced the vague location of her seal, and searched the Land of Fire with Wood Style clones and the Mayfly Technique. He eventually found and unsealed her, calling her “Hikari” again and welcoming her home as a fellow Uchiha. 338 352

Yoru offered her a new purpose: helping destroy the old war-torn Shinobi World and build a peaceful one. Hikari accepted this goal and became fiercely devoted to him. 352
